Dangerous Man Brewing is excited to announce a return to Northeast Minneapolis, with a taproom set to open this spring. The location, which is currently occupied by HeadFlyer Brewing, is at 861 E Hennepin Ave, about a mile-and-a-half from the location of the original Dangerous Man Taproom.
Since 2023, Dangerous Man beer has been available only in distribution, leaving fans thirsty for a physical location. After acquiring Dangerous Man in 2025, owner Jeremy Kuhns has made finding a suitable taproom space a priority.
“We are thrilled to bring Dangerous Man Brewing’s community-focused taproom back to Northeast Minneapolis! Our vision is to recreate a welcoming space where friends and neighbors can come together over exceptional craft beer and strengthen our connections. We’re committed to not just brewing great beer, but also to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community that everyone can enjoy,” said Kuhns.
The transition began in late 2025 when Kuhns was approached by HeadFlyer Brewing owners Amy and Neil Miller, who had started exploring the next chapter for their business as their personal lives evolved.
“As our children have grown and life’s demands have shifted, we began thinking intentionally about the future of HeadFlyer,” said Amy Miller. “When we saw Jeremy’s announcement, it felt like the right partnership to help bring Dangerous Man back to Northeast Minneapolis.”
Following those conversations, the Millers made the decision to sell HeadFlyer’s brewery and taproom equipment, creating an opportunity for Dangerous Man to establish a new home in the beloved Northeast Minneapolis location and neighborhood staple.
HeadFlyer Brewing will continue to operate as a distribution brewery, maintaining its commitment to crafting and distributing its beer to liquor stores, bars, and restaurants throughout the market.
For Dangerous Man Brewing, this provides the perfect opportunity to reestablish a beloved facet of their brewery, a community-centered taproom, without sacrificing their current distribution operation. The taproom will feature a lineup of flagship beers currently seen in cans across the metro, as well as an ever-changing variety of taproom-only beers, brewed in the new Minneapolis location.
In addition to their lineup of award-winning craft beer, the new Dangerous Man Brewing taproom will feature to-go beer and non-alcoholic options, as well as food, THC beverages, and merch.
On the topic of expanding to two locations, Kuhns said: “We are excited about creating a vibrant space that will serve our exceptional craft beers, while at the same time expanding our reach through distribution across the Twin Cities. This dual approach allows us to foster community, serving new and old friends while sharing our passion for great beer with even more people.”
Dangerous Man will take over the Minneapolis brewery in April, and after a brief period of closure to renovate, expect to open this spring.
